Alastair Cook and Keanton Jennings have survived the tricky nine-over period unscathed after Kohli's century and Hardik Pandya's fiery 50 allowed India to set a massive target of 521. Ravichandran Ashwin's hip is clearly a worry for India - he's not looking at his 100 percent while bowling. And yet Kohli tried to create a tough final over for Cook to get out of. There was some drama (and boos from the crowd) as he used up some time to summon a helmet and guard for the forward short leg fielder. There was constant chirping from the slips too but England end the third day with all 10 wickets intact. But that's only a small victory. India declare, England asked to chase 521 runs!
And there's the signal from Virat Kohli - gesturing his batters to return. He's done it after Hardik Pandya scored a run-a-ball half-century. They declared on 352 for 7, leaving England to chase 521 runs to chase with about 10-12 overs to bat tonight alongwith six possible sessions over the next two days if rain stays away.

Looks like the message to Hardik Pandya and Ajinkya Rahane is to go after the bowling for a few runs. The lead is now just seven away from 500 runs. Also a TV grab showed Kohli in his whites which should be an indication that he's ready to call his players back.
What's India's plan?
It's hard to guess it at the moment. Both Rahane and Pandya are looking for runs, unsurprisingly. But are they looking at a declaration today? No indication of that from the dressing room pictures.

Rishabh Pant doesn't last long. Anderson comes around the wicket, moves the ball slightly away from the batsman and Pant tentatively edges it behind to the first slip. He is gone for one. The lead is exactly 450 now.
